Grow your Bookie Business

When you are a bookie that is taking action, you make money when your players lose their wagered bets. Over the long term, bettors generally lose, however, bettors get streaky, and they do win sometimes. If you have an adequate bankroll then you should not have any issues weathering the storm when your players get on a hot streak.

In the pay per head bookie business, the best way for you as a bookie agent to make more money is to have more players. Since players generally lose over the long term, the more players you have, then the more they will cumulatively lose. So the key is, figuring out the best ways to get new players.

Get Referrals

The best and easiest way to grow your sheet is by getting new players through referrals. The best way to get referrals in the pay per head business is by paying your winners first and promptly. The most important thing for any player is to know that when they win, they get paid, and they get paid fast.

Typically the pay per head industry runs on a week-to-week basis. Most pay per head shops like starts the week at 12 am on Monday morning, and conclude the week at 11:59 pm on Sunday evening. So when the weekends after Sunday night, if your player is up or down money then you and the player will then schedule a time to exchange payments during the week.

Some agents think they should let winners wait to get paid because they are hoping the player will lose the money back at the beginning of the week. Sometimes this works out for an agent, and they end up sidestepping a payout during the week. However, people are not stupid, so the players will realize that even though they are degenerate and could not help themselves from gambling, they still feel like they were taken advantage of. Sure the player is responsible for continuing to gamble, but they are left with a bad taste in their mouth.

The better way to deal with winners is to actually pay them immediately. That means you as the agent should tell your players that you will pay them on Monday, the first day of the week. What this does is make your players extremely happy, and even if they can not meet up on Mondays, then at least it is not your fault. This simple procedure of paying your players on Mondays is not overlooked by your players, and they will immediately recommend you as a bookie to any of their friends and acquaintances that they know of, who want to bet as well. In addition, when you are paying your players fast, this will end up causing your players to pay faster when they lose, since they respect the way you conduct your bookie business, and will want to give you the same prompt payment treatment that you give them.
